Live
LIVE is a concert-performance written and performed by singer-songwriter-actress-director-pianist Stéphanie Aflalo.
On stage, the artist invites the spectators to replay the games played every evening by each idol and each audience in each Zenith. Starting from an extremely recognizable social setting (a pop concert), engendering stereotyped behaviors (the star throwing his relics to the crowd, the crowd screaming with enthusiasm), Stéphanie seeks to rebuild the star-fan relationship on more than transparency and fairness.
A variation both critical and playful on the signs that weave the grammar of the pop concert, LIVE presents itself as a false contact in the machine of the spectacular proper to mass culture.
