Freaks
Prieur de la Marne presents a new surprising interpretation of the masterpiece “Freaks” by Tod Browning, even inviting himself inside the film. De la Marne decided to mute the film, and to imagine his own soundtrack: from the violins of Antonio Vivaldi to the beats of A Tribe Called Quest, to The Cure and Velvet Underground…
The voice of Jacqueline Chalon Sainte-Croix comes completing this music, and gives the audience a personal and contemporary reading of the film. Prieur de la Marne and her become themselves the “monsters” of the film, and share their revolt.
