Sparks

What happens when you leave your future in the hands of a child? In Sparks, Francesca Grilli proposes that we switch the power of authority between children and adults. Are you ready to sign on for the journey?

Sparks has a simple but rather radical structure: the children invent the future, and the adults shut up and listen. After several days of workshops, a group of children from Lille offer to read the hands of the adult spectators. This is a contact point between the different generations, with which the children can become the creators of their own visions of the future. They become oracles, beings charged with mystic knowledge, holders of magical powers. Their faces are hidden behind masks and their voices tell us about our future, a gesture of hope, of breaking with the past: do we dare listen to them?
