i – CLIT

With i-clit, Mercedes Dassy delivers a vigorous and sensual solo on female desire, for a reappropriation of the body as a whole. Through dance, she questions new feminisms: their ambivalences, their weaknesses and their strengths.

In i-clit, the question of the female body occupies a central place.  I-clit is revealed in several canvases and themes that follow one another, like paragraphs of a written claim. Mercedes Dassy successively evokes female figures pop music, representations and appropriations of the female sex, in art and the media. She seems to want to regain control with force. I-clit is a form of manifesto on the new feminist waves, those of our time.
