NAYRA & ASNA – LIVE MUSIC

As part of Printemps à la Gare Saint Sauveur with lille3000, Latitudes Contemporaines takes over the Gare Saint Sauveur for two evenings of fiery DJ sets and a roller party. The all-female line-up, from coupé-décalé to batida and dancehall, over a free weekend open to all! To get your Friday night off to a good start, we’re featuring live performances by two artists brimming with talent and energy: ASNA and NAYRA.

NAYRA : 21H > 22h
Nayra, an artist whose face bears the proud heritage of her grandmothers, with a line that links the mouth to the heart, weaving a deep bond between her soul and her ancestors. Her self-taught musical path has led her to become an author, composer and proudly assert her identity as a rap singer. Since she was a teenager, her sensitivity, vulnerability and raw sincerity have been the source of her artistic power, immersing us in a universe that is both dark and luminous. A multi-faceted young woman, her lyrics reveal the urgency of depicting her environment and claiming her rightful place in this complex world. Her art is an authentic reflection of her being, an invitation to explore the depths of her emotions and experiences, and an affirmation of her place.

ASNA : 22h > 23H30
Born and raised in Ivory coast, Asna defines herself as a music explorer. She pays particular attention to the traditional rhythms that have influenced contemporary African music. She explores a new vision of rhythms that include percussion, club aesthetic, traditional African music patterns and mix it with the unlimited possibilities provided by electronic music. Main appearances: Festival Afropunk (Paris), Boiler Room,  festival Atlas electronic (Morroco), Fusion Festival (Germany), Chale wote festival ( Ghana), ADE festival (Amsterdam)…
