Consolate
+ More infoUn Retour
In Un Retour, Consolate accompanies the public at the heart of the intimate research she has been undertaking since 2019 about her story, that of a Burundian child adopted in Belgium in 1994. Consolate went to meet adoptees, and people who have gone through similar journeys to his. These testimonies populate the installation, those of adoptees who, like Consolate, share their stories
With the installation Un Retour, Consolate begins a process of preparation for returning to her native country, and invites viewers to come and weave together the protective cocoon that will accompany her on her return to Burundi, 28 years after her departure.
