Horizon
Horizon is a moving journey, meant to wake the senses and soothe the body. A guided choreographic siesta, with no hard edges, meant for children and those they choose to invite.
This is not a piece you look at from the outside, from a chair in the dark. Here we draw our horizon from the inside. Wearing headphones, the children and those accompanying them are invited to share a circular space, a cocoon designed for disconnection. Guided by a voice, the participants follow an itinerary orchestrated by a score of words and sounds. Little by little they experience true calm, their breathing slows and the movement transforms itself into actual rest. Horizon is a sensorial and poetic interlude, to experience with others, sharing and communing.

Biography(s)
Margot Dorléans works in the fields of dance, performance, and care.
Initially trained in ballet, she graduated in contemporary dance from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in 2009. Her artistic journey has been marked by the study of butoh. In 2013, she joined the Programme de Recherche et de Composition Chorégraphique – Transforme at the Abbaye de Royaumont, which marked the beginning of her work as a choreographer. Around the same time, she began collaborating with Julie Nioche and Myriam Gourfink.
In 2014, she founded the Compagnie du Vivant sous les Plis, based in Le Havre. Her creations include Confier (2019), Incarnation (2021), Essaimer (2023), and Horizon, a 2025 piece aimed at young audiences.
Alongside her creations, she has developed a choreographic mediation format that explores space beyond the prism of the body. This takes the form of hikes or choreographic walks, often incorporating a performance component. These immersive experiences, connected to landscapes and the environment, also exist in adapted versions for museums. She regularly collaborates with Cie Shifts – Malgven Gerbes / David Brandstätter on projects for children and young audiences, notably Les Sols, Le Large, and Nuages.
Since 2017, she has collaborated with the artist Patrice Balvay, performing on the relationship between dance and drawing in various settings, both indoors and outdoors (museums, galleries, gardens).
She has trained in yoga and shiatsu and teaches energy yoga, which nourishes her artistic practice. In 2026, she renewed her engagement with training in care practices, supporting her exploration of the living both within ourselves and in our environment.
She develops a multidisciplinary approach to her choreographic work. Navigating between her role as an author within Cie du Vivant sous les Plis, her collaborations with other companies, and her transmission of care practices, she explores the body and living matter, their strong transformative potential, and imbues her creations with a sensitive, powerful, and poetic organic quality.
