BALLROOM

Ballroom is a hallucinating party; an eruptive physical dance, a dance of excess and unmeasurability, of expense and exhaustion. Ballroom is an incredible participatory space of freedom, both physical and mental. A shared utopia.

As soon as the doors open, the public is greeted in the  carnival and thunderous zenith atmosphere! On stage, six performers make up themselves, make costumes with scissors, move, talk, interact with the room. For Arthur Perole, the outlet is a certain intensity of physical vibration, that which produces the Italian tarantella, a traditional Apulian dance assimilated to trance, and the American voguing. Crossing these two sources of inspiration, the choreographer propels his performers in an uninterrupted flow of dance supported by the percussive rhythms of the pizzica, techno and batucada. Finally, we dance!
