CINEMIX – SUPER 8 Latitudes Prod.

Like every year, the facetious Prieur de la Marne is starting a new project.
2021 will be the advent of “Super 8”.
The DJ performer gathers amateur films in 8mm to tell in music and in 8 movements the troubles of the love disease; from the crushing moment to the disappointment, passing by the stolen kiss, the love conquest, the embrace, the crazy love, and the goodbyes.

In this new creation, the storyteller with the flowery beard, ex-chronicler on France Culture, explores by a new way the depths of his soul passing from nostalgia to the secret hope of a lasting return of the loved one…

Alone on stage? Not quite. For this project, Prieur de la Marne has asked guests to record texts that he is attached to and that serve his story.

Thus Augustin Trapenard, Rebecca Manzoni, Mathilde Serrell, Zabou Breitman, Yelle, Blandine Rinkel (from Catas- trophe), Annina Roescheisen, Anouk Grinberg, Helena No- guerra, Juliette Armanet, Anja Linder, Barbara Carlotti or Élodie Frégé lend their voices through texts by Pier Paolo Pasolini, René Barjavel, Jean Giono, Guil- laume Apollinaire, Laure Anders, Paul Nizon, Marguerite Duras, Romain Gary. ..

For music, as usual, Prieur de la Marne does not restrict himself to anything. Without any dogma or rule, we can recognize in the soundtrack of “Super 8” a piano of Clara Haskil, a beat of Mr. Oizo, an edict of Catastrophe, a folk song of Susan Christie, a clever remix of Marvin Gaye, a ballad of Fabio Viscogliosi, a serenade of Gino Paoli, or an unpublished of Philippe Katerine…
In front of his big screen and his turntables, Prieur de la Marne, in a very 70’s outfit specially designed by Blousons Noirs, takes you on a curious lurch with some dance steps and even a stunt.
